HOW DID YOUR NAME ORIGINATE?
Quite a boring story actually. We went into a bar and saw a Chaplin poster with “Modern Times” on it, and we thought the name was catchy and suited our music. We added the “The” because there's already a small band called “Modern Times”.

WHERE WAS YOUR FIRST GIG AND HOW MANY PEOPLE WERE THERE?
At Bastard Bar in Tromsø. We didn't even have a band name when we booked the concert, and we made a bet with the owner that we would sell out. If we didn’t, they would keep all the money.
In two weeks we made 10 songs and called ourselves “Red Headed Sluts”, and the concert was sold out (100 people).

WHEN WAS YOUR LAST DAY OFF AND WHAT DID YOU DO WITH IT?
Sunday. We watched football, played cards and drank beer. Jon was working, but really he just gets paid to watch football with the rest of us, so it's kind of a day off for him as well.

WHICH SONG BY ANOTHER ARTIST DO YOU WISH YOU HAD WRITTEN?
Talking Heads – This Must Be The Place. One of the greatest songs of all time.
-
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST SURREAL FAN MOMENT?
One time a guy was disappointed because he thought we were The Modern Lovers.
