British artist Jamie Hannah is the celestial voice we need in our current climate - fusing his classical training with his love for world music and contemporary pop into what he calls “ethereal dance pop.” All around the globe you’ll undoubtedly find turmoil and despair but it’s the heart, soul, and wisdom in the deepest layers of our reality that inspire the rising star and brings dual-meaning to his work. "I feel passionately about equality in all aspects of human existence, not just sexuality and gender, for everyone regardless where they live, mental or physical challenges, education and income level, age, etc.… It’s remarkable what we can all accomplish when we put our minds to it.” Jamie asserts. Throughout each of his musical canvases his sole purpose is to feel and be inspired by the sounds and energy that surrounds us and to find the power of positive thinking, equality, and self-love.
From singing “Bare Necessities” in school assemblies, participating in the
National Youth Choir of Great Britain for 10 years, and later graduating from
the Royal College of Music to supporting Kylie Minogue as a member of her
backing group in the Royal Albert Hall to collaborating with Boy George, Jamie
Hannah has set his own stage to craft something that is distinctly his own. The
multi-instrumentalist’s 4 octave range and unmatched falsetto allows him to hit
vocal pockets most artists could never imagine performing. Billboard touts,
"The operatically trained singer is capable of hitting falsettos with piercing
clarity, but unlike most singers who can go that high, he can also dig deep
on low, velvety notes." It’s no surprise Jamie has received loads of support
from media including 1883, Attitude, Billboard, Clash, HollywoodLife,
L'Officiel, Logo TV's NewNowNext, Paper, People, TIME, and Wonderland
for the creativity he’s bringing to the world of pop.
The year ahead holds much promise for Jamie who has been tirelessly working
with industry heavyweights Steve Manovski (Sigala, Cheat Codes, Jason
Derulo), Gil Lewis (Nina Nesbitt, Sigala), Si Hulbert (Dido, One Direction),
Ben Robbins (Katherine Jenkins, Ella Fitzgerald) and Sondr (Rita Ora, Lana
Del Rey, Robin Schulz). Today, Jamie Hannah reveals his first single of the
year entitled “Secret Paradise” ahead of his forthcoming EP due out this
Spring.
Jamie Hannah describes “Secret Paradise” as “A deceiving love saga, allowed to
live freely.”
