Unleashing a brand new single for 2020, AMiR releases ‘IM ON FIRE’ this spring. Taken from his forthcoming sophomore album, ‘Im On Fire’ is a perfect reflection of the euphoric feelings of achievement and growth for AMiR having finally unleashed his music to the world.
Although ironically AMiR says - “I wrote this when I was feeling pressured and 'under fire' about life and what was happening at the time. Typically what I like to do, is take a bad situation and find the positive in it hence why instead of shying away, i felt I could fight back and use that fire in my favour" The slick production & distinctly catchy pop mentality of this single offers a perfect example of AMiRs progression both personally and musically as a growing global artist. North-London songwriter and performer AMiR has always had a burning passion for music. From a young age, music has been the only path for the gifted performer. Starting with the drums, he soon found music an addiction taking on the guitar and piano. Since then, he’s worked to become the complete musician.
In a relatively short time-frame, his music and hard work ethic have taken him to places he never imagined possible. On his debut album All Or Nothing, he worked Grammy winning producers worldwide, including Peter and Daniel (Matoma, Galantis, DFA) and Patrick Patrikios (Little Mix), to create a unique blend of soul, disco and pop that showcased the fundamentals of his sound. People soon began to take notice, with regular support coming from BBC Asian Network and Kiss FM, it wasn’t long before his work was picked up by rk, the latter regularly supporting and shortlisting him as an artist to watch. Soon after, came support from Jo Wiley on BBC Radio 2 and Craig Charles on 6Music. Online, his presence was growing with glowing support from the likes of Clash Magazine, Wonderland Magazine, Noctis and an incredible interview in The Metro His music was also supported regularly by Spotify’s worldwide editorial team, picking up playlist support on Spotify playlists in Europe, Asia and North America including the influential ‘Bridge to Bombay’ and ‘Mid-Tempo Magic’. Soon came the realisation of a lifetime dream, when AMiR was invited by BBC Introducing to perform their stage at Glastonbury 2019. Recently following an exciting festival season in 2019 & the increased profile awareness achieved as a result, AMiR secured label deals outside of the UK and spends the first part of 2020 touring for the first time in new territories including Japan & mainland Europe before returning to the UK to promote and perform his new music back on home turf!
