GALAXY THIEF are back, this time with a real treat to end 2019 on, a 5 track EP featuring the brilliant current single “BETTER” along with “LUCIA”, “DOWN”, GABRIELLA, and“IDWK”. Something for everyone on here and a great chance to see just how good these guys really are, both on record and live.
This 4-piece indie pop band from the South coast of England, are one of the brightest and tightest bands out there right now. Consisting of the magnificent frontman JAMIE ELDRIDGE (Vocals, Rhythm Guitar), one of the most enigmatic and engaging frontmen you’ll ever see. Alongside BEN WATTON, drummer extraordinaire (and some time keys wizard), GEORGE BOWERMAN the lead guitarist with riffs galore and JAKE TRIM on bass duties (but another multi-instrumentalist).
Together they have been performing throughout the UK and not surprisingly picking up repeat bookings everywhere they play and constant plaudits for the show they put on. In a set full of originals, these guys are just as able to drop in a cover or two, to keep everyone singing and dancing.
With a ridiculous amount of gigs behind them, a slew of festivals (including Bestival) GALAXY THIEF continue to impress with their performances and are developing a growing legion of fans. Unlike so many others, these boys are doing it the hard way, gigs from The South Coast up as far as Scotland and back (and everywhere in between). If you get the chance to see them live, don’t miss it, they really are special.
Alongside the live side the guys are always busy, writing, demoing and recording their self-written songs. They record with Producer Pete Dowsett at the renowned RYP Studios in London. So far all their releases have had a great response from radio, and have received significant play including BBC Introducing, BBC Solent(including a live session), the legendary Alex Lester supporting them on BBC Hereford/Worcester, BBC Shropshire, BBC Stoke, BBC Coventry & Warwickshire, BBC Humberside, Union Jack radio with full interview, live session on Radio Caroline and numerous interviews on a number of regional radio stations. They’ve even been featured on ITV’s “This Morning” show.
