Dearly Beloved recently released Times Square Discount via Future Shock Records. When on a European tour with Sebadoh to support the release, the band filmed the video for "Vacation" at the former home of Knights Templars on the Thames. Billboard premiered the video today and spoke to vocalist/bassist Rob Higgins and vocalist / percussionist Niva Chow about the clip, and the new album.
"Our guitarist KT Lamond edited the video between shows on our tour," says Chow of the video. "Armed with robes, wine, a speaker and iphones, we took to the hotel’s stunning grounds and had as much fun as we possibly could without taking our pants off. Well, pants do come off in the video but you get the point."
Times Square Discount is an inventive and artful album bursting with creativity featuring Dimitri Coats of OFF! on guitar, James Di Salvio of Bran Van 3000 and M83 conscript Jordan Lawlor. The album was recorded at Dave Grohl's Studio 606, famed Rancho de la Luna and the band's home studio on Phoebe Street in Toronto.
